This class is the entry level for registered nurses. Responsible for providing professional nursing services for patients in a student health clinic. Responsible for determining the priorities of patient care needs, planning, and providing nursing care and treatment services. May also be responsible for planning and implementing in-service training programs for nursing assistants. Provides and assist with in-service and/or out-service nursing education programs. Positions at this level receive immediate supervision from a higher level nurse. Positions may be assigned to permanent shifts or may rotate among the staff to provide adequate coverage for the clinic’s hours of operation which may include holidays and weekends.
This is an entry level class for registered nurses.
License to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Hawaii
