Instructions for current University employees applying for Civil Service Positions
Applications Must Be: A member of the state civil service system who has
successfully completed an initial probation period under section 76-27 Hawai'i Revised
Statutes and currently working in the University system.
Forms to Complete: You must complete the Competitive Internal Recruitment Form
(HRD 315A - revised 8/7/2007) and other supplemental forms for each vacancy
that you wish to be considered for and submit the completed forms to the Office of
Human Resources, Civil Service Employee Relations, 2440 Campus Road, Administrative
Services Building 2, Honolulu, Hawai'i 96822-2246 by the specified deadline. Mailed
applications must be postmarked by midnight of the last day to file applications.

Manoa Campus or at any Human Resource Office at each Community College, UH at Hilo or
UH West Oahu campuses.
Quality of Experience: Possession of the required amount of experience will not in
itself be accepted as proof of qualification for the position. The applicant's overall paid or
unpaid experience must be of the scope and level of responsibility as to conclusively demonstrate
that he/she has the ability to perform the duties of the position. Provide a detailed description
of your duties and responsibilities. If you worked on a part-time basis, indicate the average
number of hours worked per week.

and responsibilities of the position effectively and safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.
