Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Assist Academic Advisors with team advising and Learning Services program coordinators with program development
  2. Help design, implement and supervise tutorials that integrate active learning techniques in the context of the discipline/course
  3. Work individually or in small groups with academically at-risk and under-prepared students, including international students
  4. Assist in the planning and implementation of the Summer Bridge Program
  5. Assist with tutor/mentor training, orientation, assessment of incoming student-athletes
  6. Assist in teaching in UNIV class(es)
  7. Assist with evening team study halls and programming
  8. Possible team travel
  9. Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  1. Classified graduate student
  2. One year experience tutoring and/or teaching academic skills
  3. Strong oral communication, writing and interpersonal skills
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  5. Dependable, organized and efficient
Desirable Qualifications
  1. Experience working with student-athletes in an athletic-academic setting
  2. One year teaching experience
  3. Experience working in multicultural settings
  4. Experience working with students with learning disabilities
