Duties and Responsibilities
  1. The University of Hawaii High Energy Physics Theory Group anticipates hiring up to two post-doctoral researchers, with appointments to start on approximately Sep. 1, 2017. The interests of the members of the theory group include neutrino physics, flavor physics,cosmology, dark matter, collider phenomenology, supersymmetry and electroweak phenomena at the TeV scale, Grand Unification and model building. The experimental High Energy Physics effort in Hawaii includes accelerator experiments at BELLE and BES, a variety of neutrino experiments, AMS-02, GAPS, dark matter direct detection (DarkSide, and the development of directional dark matter detection), as well as techniques for radio detection of high energy particles. Demonstrated ability to carry out independent research in particle physics phenomenology.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. Minimum qualifications: Ph.D. in physics, or equivalent, with specialization in theoretical high energy physics, and demonstrated ability to carry out independent research in particle physics phenomenology.
